Hypermiling Update: 5/19/08

Two more tanks above 27mpg...overall FE is 26.2mpg. I have now saved around 50 gallons of gas at an average price of $3.09 for a total savings of $154. Unfortunately, the rising gas prices are continually eating into those savings. Regular unleaded E10 increased by $0.20 in the 9 days between fill-ups. Here's a chart of the fuel prices:
Does anybody think we'll ever see sub-$3.00 gas again?
